It's never been easier to open a Trading Account

With modern technology, incredibly low costs and a plethora of research and training tools, it's never been easier for a private client to start trading. Whether you're switching brokers or just starting out, Aluma Capital (Pty) Ltd will be able to help you every step of the way.

Our Clients have Direct Market Access (DMA) to the JSE and global financial markets from one interface. Our leading edge multi-asset trading platform supports trading in the following instruments:

Definition: A unit of ownership interest in a corporation or financial asset.

Not to be confused with an Equity CFD, a share does not carry any leverage and provides the holder with an equal distribution of any profits, if declared in the form of dividends. Clients have access to all the shares listed on the JSE from the largest to the smallest listing.

Definition: An ETF, or exchange traded fund, is a marketable security that tracks an index, a commodity, bonds, or a basket of assets like an index fund.

Unlike mutual funds, an ETF trades like a common stock on a stock exchange. ETFs experience price changes throughout the day as they are bought and sold. ETFs typically have higher daily liquidity and lower fees than mutual funds, making them an attractive alternative for individual investors. Clients have access to all the ETFs listed on the JSE.

Definition: a CFD, or Contract for Difference, is a contract which mirrors the price of an underlying asset.

CFDs provide the holder with all the benefits and risks of owning a share without actually owning it. The ease of access, flexibility and gearing offered by a CFD have made it a popular trading instrument in global financial markets.

Clients have access to CFDs on the following instrument groups:

  • Shares
  • ETFs
  • Indices
  • Commodities
  • FX
